We vacation in Myrtle Beach each year. Maybe when we come in this year we could all meet at a restaurant for dinner one night. It would be nice to have some faces with the names on here.

Wow. I am shocked at this news. Even though recently we didn't see eye-to-eye on how IDW was handling things, I always respected him and thought he was a great guy. A big loss certainly to his family and friends. My heartfelt condolences to you FL and to his mom and everyone else that was touched by his life.

Wow. I am so sorry I missed this news. Wow, what a shocker. I am sorry to stir up everyone's memory, especially you, fatherlove, but this is a shock.
My belated condolences.
Hellstrom has been a major member from Day 1. I just checked his profile and realized he died only a few days shy of the eigth anniversary of him joining the boards.
He is one of the few people I always read. I can't believe this. He is one of the guys who knows everything about Joe. ha... I so cannot believe this that I am writing in the present tense!

I miss him terribly. We were friends since fifth grade and we hung out alot. (almost weekly)It was funny that some on these boards and others thought we were arguing because we disagreed about certain aspects of GI Joe but we never let it affect our friendship. He Respected you guys alot, just as I do!

I still can't believe this, even though I never met him in person, I felt like I knew him intimately for a decade!
Fatherlove, Phil agreed to replace his Reloaded "rank" with something to commemorate and honor his wonderful contribution to these boards.
Is there anything you can think of that would have pleased him? A rank, a title, a decoration, a role, etc.?

Maybe "Sith Supreme" or something like that because he was always kidding with me that he was a Sith and I was a "wannabe Sith that couldnt even qualify as a Jedi" haha Star Wars was one thing him and i usually agreed on, but GI Joe??? Forgetaboutit! haha
