So excited for this one. I love the Yearbooks. I remember the info about the cartoon in the back was a wonderful surprise to me as a kid.

Cool to see this and I agree I how they leave those old articles about he cartoons in there it will be a nice blast from the past to read those.
and since they aren't including the Order of Battle, I bet that might be next.

Looks like it got pushed to March on Amazon, which means it'll probably be in comic shops a week earlier (Feb 29th?). Here are the cover, toc, and back cover from the Amazon preview. Amazon listing

Looks pretty good. I'm glad to see it will include everything from the Yearbooks. Those cartoon articles are a nice time capsule. I seem to remember one article makes hints about elements from G.I. Joe: The Movie being discussed as if they're part of an upcoming season.
And in that Amazon preview, there's a great full-on view of Golden's Cobra pilot design in his sketchbook. I don't think the pilot is seen fully in the YB #2 story. Someone needs to turn that design into an "Air-Viper" action figure right now!

Wow, this is a really thick book. Amazing that 4 double-sized issues smooshed into my back issues bins (bagged and still in very fine/near mint condition, mind you!) somehow expanded into a book that big.

Yeah, I've yet to find a comic bag big enough to fit mine... My only complaint: the scans of the T.V. stuff were pretty poor, but considering the source material, I'm not surprised. (sigh)

(sigh) They didn't look that great in the original Yearbooks, did they? Can't say I fault IDW for not downloading/rescanning newer screenshots from the DVDs......it'd have been a largely unnecessary expense that could cost us something else in the future.

I haven't seen these, but if those article scans do look bad, I'm kind of surprised they could get at least clean up scans of those original pages. But I would guess maybe they didn't want to take the time to remaster images like they've done for the comics, when those articles are mostly text.
One of those articles gives great hints at a potential third season for the Sunbow series that either would have followed or was replaced by G.I. Joe: The Movie. It brings up Renegades, Rawhides and the unknown group behind Cobra. Pretty interesting stuff as far as behind the scenes history goes.
