Using the V-22 was one of the best things yet. It really helped to bring back that feeling of when the GI Joe vehicles were cutting edge, yet grounded in things the military was actually developing. Modernized the series while still keeping the feel of yesteryear.
Plus it didn't hurt that the artist did a such a great job of drawing the gear.
After watching Futureweapons the other on the Military Channel I can't wait to see what other cool gear you can talk the Devil's Due crew into working into the comic book.

Very nice. One of my favorite things about Joe books, as opposed to most superhero books, is that there is an element of realism in there that I really enjoy. Cobra-la not included of course.

That is one of the things I try to bring in my recommendations. I will probably never recommend weapons for the Joes that is not in our current inventory or in research for use by the US military.
Cobra is a little bit easier, they have more freedom and thus I broaden the scope of my recommendations.
Ultimately though it comes down to the artist. Luckily Josh has a great eye for weapons, and draws them very well.
I look forward to the next few issues under his pen.
Phil

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to give props on recommending the use of the V-22. I've been intrigued by the Osprey for several years now (hence the screen name I selected). I recently saw an aerial demonstration of the Osprey at the Vectren Dayton Airshow in Ohio back in July (they were actually the two used in the Transformers movie). What an impressive piece of machinery, any chance we will see it in used during the WW3 arc.

Depends on what the scripts call for. (G'ah...now I am sounding like Mike)
