Here are the 5 questions:
1. With the inclusion of M.A.S.K. into the toyline, are there any plans to bring elements of M.A.S.K. into the comic universe?
2. Will there be movie comic packs?
3. How many new comic packs can we expect in 2009?
4. What has the GI Joe brand team thought of the reaction to IDW's GI Joe #0?
5. Is there any update on getting the GI Joe comics published to this point onto a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM?

Well, regarding the first question, they've already answered a similar question stating that the figure was a one off and that there are no plans to do another MASK figure or any other elements in the future. Something to that effect anyways. So I can't imagine them doing anything with MASK for the comic, unless perhaps a cameo for the one character. With so many other more important characters in the Joe universe, I hope MASK is completely ignored from here on out.
However, just the mere fact that they did a MASK figure before characters that are waaaaayy more appropriate (Kwinn, Dr. Venom etc.) shows Hasbro can throw logic out the window.

I don't remember MASK very well at all, but I thought there was a flying car or something. I think MASK ranks up there with Transformers and *shudder* Star Trek as horrible crossover ideas. I know a lot of people liked the TF crosses, but that is just not for me.

IMVHO Hasbro needs to go to a comic book company and GIVE them the license to develope a comic series on properties like MASK , ACTION MAN and COPS. they also need to keep it all at ONE company they need to create a HASRBO universe much like Marvel and DC . ONE BIG universe that has IN CONTINUITY crossover potentials that the comic book company can do if they so chose. Each property YES would need some revamps but Hasbro can ONLY make so many GI JOE and Transformers movies. If what the hasbro CEO, has said is his true intentions then its a must and I dont know why they havent done it yet.
While board games like monopoly and clue might be classic fun games it doesnt make much of a movie
sorry for hijacking this thread please move it if you so desire

Jamar thats an excellent idea. back to the question, the reason I asked this is because in the Matt Trakker toy bio Hasbro states V.E.N.O.M as being a unit of COBRA, I was just wondering if they were planning on expanding on this idea.

That whole cross over one universe within Hasbro is really scary, next thing you know the streets in GI Joe will be Broadwalk, Pack Place and Baltic Ave.
Just being sarcastic. I don't think Hasbro would do such a thing.
The Transformers cross over was enough, and the brief Marvel references were also enough.
GI Joe has been (except for the forgotten Transformers) and should always be it's own universe.

I have just purchased a laptop and the CD Rom collection would be wonderful. I can buy it now. (I plan on hunting down those Marvel Amazing Spiderman CD Rom collections and other ones they have released as well.) Now I just need to get something in the way of an internet connection at home and I am all set. I live in the country and have limited options.

Having various toylines in the same continuity as gi joe is a verrry bad idea. GI Joe needs to keep to itself. If they want to do a goofy crossover in a seperate continuity, okeedokee, but keep it there.

Ok, first set of questions for this year are due on Monday March 2nd. So, you have until March 1st to get them posted here. Also...new change...only three (3) questions will be sent. So, make 'em good. Start putting them here.

If the movie tanks, will you be scaling back future plans for the G.I. joe toys and comic books?

ratchet wrote: If the movie tanks, will you be scaling back future plans for the G.I. joe toys and comic books? As if there is any way they would take this question seriously. If your question is even vaguely insulting, its NOT a good question. This is probably part of the reason they limit to 3 questions now...

How much influence do you have over Paramount regarding the film and its promotion?
