Ok...Here are the first five questions I am going to send to Hasbro. They are either tweaked questions from the ones asked or straight from how y'all worded them.
Will we ever see some other comic created characters such as Candy Appel, Hard Master, Soft Master, Blind Masters, Shooter or Wraith made into figures?
Are there GI Joe/Cobra characters you consider untouchable for a possible comic book death?
Will future comic packs focus more on the Marvel Comics (please!), the DD comics or a bit of both?
Is there a plan to release some or all of the comic series on DVD or CD-ROM?
Is there a plan to release the entire Marvel published line in Trade Paperback format?
If anyone has any MAJOR issues with these, let me know and we and discuss swapping them.
Phil

That sounds as a good as start as anything, Phil! Hopefully they'll be as honest as possible.

Sounds great Phil (I should say that, since one of mine is in there, and your first question is similar to one of my others. ). I think it's great you've decided to focus the joereloaded.com questions around the comics. Can't wait to see the answers!

Alright...I have thought a 6th question (it was actually one I had thought about earlier, but then forgot)
So, I need y'all's input.
I want to ask: "Will DDP maintain the GI Joe license for comics books beyond 2008? If so, for how long? If not, is there someone else picking it up?"
Now, here is where you come in. Should I replace one of the 5 already picked, or should I wait until the next round (which will be in two months)?
Thanks.

Phil, that question makes it seem as if Hasbro is displeased with what DDP has been doing. Are there rumors to this idea floating around that I have not heard about? I would also tend to think it's up to DDP as to whether they actually want to pay to renew the rights beyond 08'. They have to factor in if they can maintain sales and turn a profit vs. what they pay for the rights to publish G.I. Joe comics. Right? I doubt it would be a question that would actually get an answer either. It's too early. Since DDP has a 12 part story planned they must have the rights until at least around this time next year. (June/July) Why plan a story that might not get finished if their rights ran out in Jan 08' and they decided not to renew them? I would hope that they have the rights until the end of 08', but who knows how the buisness end of things work. I say leave it out. Hopefully sales will remain stable enough to see WW3 to the end without a "rush job" ending because they decide to cancel the book and cram 6 issues of content into a final 2 issues. (Red Shadows anyone?) Go with the already selected questions.

Alright. The five questions have been sent. I went with the first 5 questions that the site agreed on.
Thanks for your input. Look for a new thread with the answers when I get them.

Phil,
thanks for sending in my question along.
about the DDP license, I think you did the best thing, cause they would have avoided answering. Either of two:
1) If they are negotiating or if they've chosen some other comic company, they won't tell.
2) If they had renewed, DDP would have made it public already.
I think it's best to think of five questions that they are more likely to answer.

Alright. It is that time again.
I need 5 questions. Post the questions you would like answered by Hasbro (comic related prefered). The top 5 questions will be sent to Hasbro next Monday.
Phil

Here's two:
"One of the biggest selling points for me as a child was the fantastic card art used in the original line. (Heck I even bought some less then thrilling figures since the art was so exciting. ) Will this style continue after the 25th anniversary or will it go back to the generic "same artwork for every card" style used in the 2000 JvC relaunch?
"Will more Cobra Troop builder sub-divisions be coming up soon?" (Siegies, Snow Serpents, Eels, etc.)
Sorry Phil, couldn't really think of anything specifically comic related that hasn't been asked. (DDP license, Kwinn, Dr. Venom, Dead Joes, etc.)

1) To what extent will the G.I. Joe live action movie be based upon the comic continuity?

With the new 25th Anniversary figures starting to come out, will you ever make (or should I say remake) the vehicles/bases for them? I basically would kill for a new Cobra Terror Drome, but refuse to pay the high prices on Ebay.

Here are a couple more, since people don't seem to be picking up this thread:
2) Will we ever see a unit badge for GI Joe? Since the name of the unit in the comic is officially Counter-terrorist Group Delta, something with a triangle would be appropriate.
3) G.I. Joe has had Army Generals and Navy Admirals. When will we get an Air Force general? Why not promote old Ace (already a colonel) to Brigadier General status?
4) Any possibilities of GI Joe figures honoring distinguished militaries (Eisenhower, Marshall, MacArthur)? (I don't mean making them GI Joe members, but just action figures, with weapons of their time).

Ok guys here is what I went with:
1.) To what extent will the G.I. Joe live action movie be based upon the comic continuity?
2.) Will more Cobra Troop builder sub-divisions be coming up soon? (Siegies, Snow Serpents, Eels, etc.)
3.) With the new 25th Anniversary figures starting to come out, will you ever make (or should I say remake) the vehicles/bases for them?
4.) Why can DDP not put the title "World War III" on the cover of their books?
5.) I am assuming, that like Transformers, there will be a comic series to go along with the movie. Since the movie is slated to come out in 2009 and the current comic license is up in 2008 will the license be extended so that DDP can publish those books like IDW?
The last two came from me. I know the 5th one may cause some debate, but I at least wanted Hasbro to know that the comic fans don't look just month to month.

Good choice there Phil. If there's ever a third round, we should ask something about what Jeff Bohn quoted in another thread:
Greg Horn wrote: "Horn is also working on the Hasbro 25th Anniversary of G.I. Joe. "They're taking old comic book covers and giving them a new spin," he said. "So basically I'm taking these old comic book covers and painting them in my style. It's very interesting because people are going to get the feeling of nostalgia because they're going to say, 'Hey! I remember this cover!' But it's a completely new technique.""
