Good questions. Can't wait to hear what they have to say, or they give totally vague answers, like so many other peeps do with a good ol Q & A session.

Here's some questions, phil:
1)Why hasn't Hasbro made any female figures for the Sigma Six line? All we're getting are revamped versions of Duke, & Snake Eyes.
2)Will Hasbro consider doing GI Joe figures like the Marvel Legends series?
3)How much input does Hasbro have on the forthcoming GI Joe film?
4)Any chance of Hasbro approving GI Joe novels? Given the serious premise of GI Joe, it's doable.
5)Any chances of Hasbro creating an action figure line for GI Joe America's Elite?
Hope you consier them, Phil.

You are correct. I need questions by October 8th.
Remember, I am limited to 5 questions, and I would like for them to be comic related (or movie related is fine too).

It's not so much comic related (the comic has been pretty good on this point) but I am surprised no one has asked Hasbro.
Why every few years do they try to move G.I. Joe away from the military? When it has never resulted in increased sales. Only to later return G.I. Joe to their roots and a have sales go back up.

Here's mine:
1.) Does Hasbro and Paramount really believe that by turning G.I. Joe into an UN "Brussels based" international team they will be able to erase 40+ years of his American Military identity? (Probably won't be asked... )
2.) If the initial comic packs sell well, will Hasbro consider recent DDP created characters such as the Phoenix Guard or Shooter for next year? (Like they're currently doing with the "Star Wars" Dark Horse comics inspired 2 packs.)

I think we should ask Hasbro the five following:
1. Will the movie be based on the comic?
2. Will the movie be based on the comic?
3. Will the movie be based on the comic?
4. Will the movie be based on the comic?
5. Will the movie be based on the comic?
I know, I know, we asked already and they didn't want to confirm, but this would send a clear message out.

We may want to check out the hasbro comments posted from the convention this weekend before submitting questions. One thing of note, according to cooltoyreview.com Hasbro is "looking for a new publisher" for when the deal with DD expires. While TNI reports "The comic book once the license ends with DDP, it is still up in the air where it might go."
So my question to hasbro would be, Are Devils Due out of the running for the publishing rights? Or are they one of the publishers being considered?
Apparently they will be basing the movie on Joe vs. Cobra, and the international aspect hasn't been decided. Also they float out various plots to internet to get fan reaction to make decisions on the movie's direction. So it sounds like they are listening to the fans. So we should emphasise to them we want it based on the comic.

Great find, Darth!

Phil asked something similar last time and they didn't answer: Quote: 5.) I am assuming, that like Transformers, there will be a comic series to go along with the movie. Since the movie is slated to come out in 2009 and the current comic license is up in 2008 will the license be extended so that DDP can publish those books like IDW?
It is too early to discuss this one. Sorry. Well, maybe it's not "too early" anymore, though I assume DDp is not out of the game definitely. Except, with a movie coming, the competition may be hard. Exactly what I suspected! It's the old big balloon trick. Throw a couple out in the crowd and see how they bounce back.
So, guys, let your voice be heard!!!

OK, I agree, we need to ask them exactly what this means. Is this just opening up the game, like everythime a licence expires, or is DDP definitely excluded?

I called it some time ago. My theory is dead-on. No comment.

Alright guys...I got the "reminder" e-mail today from Hasbro for the questions.
So far here are some questions I have picked out:
1*.) Does Hasbro and Paramount really believe that by turning G.I. Joe into an UN "Brussels based" international team they will be able to erase 40+ years of his American Military identity?
2.) If the initial comic packs sell well, will Hasbro consider recent DDP created characters such as the Phoenix Guard or Shooter for next year? (Like they're currently doing with the "Star Wars" Dark Horse comics inspired 2 packs.)
3.) Recently at the Joe Con it was announced that the comic book license, once the license ends with DDP, it is still up in the air. Is Devils Due one of the publishers being considered?
4.) Why every few years does Hasbro try to move G.I. Joe away from the military? Only to later return G.I. Joe to their roots.
5.) Why was the decision made to cancel the Storm Shadow comic series?
6.) If the comic book moves to another company what are the chances of continuing with the current Marvel/DDP continuity? Will that continue or are you planning on a reboot?
*I might try to re-word this one a little.
There is still time to submit more for consideration. So submit your questions today.
EDIT:
Ok...there are now 6 questions...I need to know which one I should drop.

You could drop question #2 if you want. (my question) The answer will probably be "Anythings possible for the future, but currently we are focusing on characters from the original 82-94 line." Still, I'd like Hasbro to know that there is a desire from the collectors (at least THIS collector.)to see guys like General Rey, Friday and Mech immortalized in plastic.
Granted, we probably already know the answer for question #3. ("Yes, but we are also weighing other options.") And question #5 will be skillfully dodged.
