I think questions (1) and (4) are similar. I'd drop them both cause they'll NEVER give a straight up answer to them...

I'd replace them with something like: if DDP loses the licence, would Hasbro be interested in purchasing the rights to their GIJoe comics, like you did with Marvel?

Question (2) is good, but ya, I'm pretty sure the answer will be "anything is possible". But I think we should keep it, because it's a back-handed way of letting Hasbro know we care about the DDP run (and they said they were looking for input on the line). Maybe rephrase more straightforwardly:

(2) Will Hasbro produce the DDP-created Phoenix Guard, either as a set or as a series of comic packs?

Ok...so after some tweaking...

1.) Will Hasbro produce the DDP-created Phoenix Guard, either as a set or as a series of comic packs?

2.) Recently at the Joe Con it was announced that the comic book license, once the license ends with DDP, it is still up in the air. Is Devils Due one of the publishers being considered?

3.) If DDP loses the licence, would Hasbro be interested in purchasing the rights to their GIJoe comics, like you did with Marvel?

4.) Why was the decision made to cancel the Storm Shadow comic series?

5.) If the comic book moves to another company what are the chances of continuing with the current Marvel/DDP continuity?

What say you all?

Any last minute suggestions?

If not, then this will get shipped out to Hasbro tomorrow.

Phil

I'd tweak #5 a bit. I think that it is really two questions:

A) What are the chances a new comic company would continue with the Marvel continuity?

and:

B) What are the chances a new company would continue with the DDP continuity?

Remember, the DDP continuity depends on the Marvel continuity, but the reverse is not necessarily true.

Just my 2 flag points...

True. But, I'll keep the question as is. This round we will get feelers on the continuity in general and then come back and get specific.

I am pretty sure what the answer is going to be, but I have my feelings on what we will be seeing two years from now.

Will there be a round 4?

Also, wasn't Hasbro supposed to make an announcement after Thanksgiving?

Yes, round 4 questions are due NLT (no later then) 10DEC. So start getting your questions in.

Hasbro had mentioned an announcement, but nothing has come out thus far.

I hope the announcement comes out before we send our questions!

Alright, well Dec 10 is MONDAY, and it doesn't look like we'll get the comic announcement before then, which sort of limits our choice.

Here are a couple suggestions. 5/6 revolve around the comic packs, so maybe we can combine some of them...

1) Any plans to publish a UK-based Action Force comic again?

2) Can you reveal which are the new Hama issues from the comic packs? (We heard that one will fit between issues 21 and 22, what about the others?)

3) Any more original material comic packs planned?

4) Are these new issues the same size as regular issues?

5) Can we hope to be able to buy the issues without the figures, like regular comics?

6) Can we hope for a few online teaser pages as previews for these comics?

Can you add more wallpapers to the GIJoe.com site? I'd really like to see large images of the card artwork (with the explosion in the background).

One of the guys on Joecustoms said that Hama is working on a lot of issues (and cabanajack is a reliable source of Hama info)...

Pretty much answered here...

Wouldn't hold my breath on that! Hasbro may make them available online at some point. I'd love to see a collected version at some point though, including all the directly from Hasbro comics, Starduster, mini comics, etc...

Thanks Jeff, I figured there must be answers to some of these questions out there. So that eliminates need for my questions (3) and (4).

Question (5) can be tweaked:

Can we hope to be able to buy the issues without the figures, either as regular comics or as a collected Trade paperback, along with previously issued Hasbro comics and mini-comics?

As for question (6), I knew about the yojoe Q&A, but I still maintain my suggestion, because I don't understand why they want to keep it as an idea for future issues, they can still do it with the first issues when they come out! I say, let's send a message that this is important for the comic-buying community.

Alright, here are the 5 questions:

1.) What company will be getting the Comic License in 2008?

2.) Can we hope to be able to buy the comic pack issues without the figures, either as regular comics or as a collected Trade paperback, along with previously issued Hasbro comics and mini-comics?

3.) Can you add more wallpapers to the GIJoe.com site?

4.) How long will the 25th anniversary run of toys last?

5) Can you reveal how many new comics written by Larry Hama will be produced in for the comic packs? (We are aware of 2 so far)

Alternate #1 - Any plans to publish a UK-based Action Force comic again?

I think they're great questions, but I doubt we'll get the scoop on the comic company!

Do you think we can tweak (5) to ask:

5) Can you reveal which new comics written by Larry Hama will be produced for the comic packs? (We are aware of 10.5 ans 21.5 so far)

That way, if they answer, we get how many and which, but if we just ask how many... Then again, maybe they would answer how many but won't answer which ones and we're screwed ;-) Maybe "which or how many"?
