Cool to see you over here L. Roy! I remember most of those, with the exception of the Zanya pic and Storm Shadow (I'm too lazy to get out my old katakana school book...) in casual wear. New stuff, or am I just senile?

I'm a fan of your work (especially your GIFS), and I really like the Cobra-La and Baroness images.

Your right on, those two are new. The kanji is Storm Shadow (Arashikage) and the katakana is Thomas (Tomasu). I drew what I would have liked to have seen in the StormShadow book because I didn't like the the art with the overly Bruce Lee look. The Zanya was requested by someone on DeviantArt.
thanks everyone glad you like them.

I haven't drawn any Joe art for awhile so if any one has any requests please feel free to suggest it.
If someone wants a original or obscure character please give me a good description or a link to a picture.

I totally agree I really think DDP sort of missed a big chance to really make a new generation/ or defining characters by not doing more about those 3
it does look like Black out will get a lot more attention now but I had wish they would have included barrel Roll and Bombstrike on the team, kind of would have been nice to have 2 NEW Characters with all the classic joes we got
and the pic is great
I personally would love to see maybe a QUARREL done along with GLENDA
or how about some S.K.A.R. stuff! that would be cool to see Iron Klaw with STEEL RAVEN

This is just my personal theory, but I think Hasbro may have had some problems with Bombstrike. Taking a look at the release dates, Barrel Roll and Blackout figures first came out in 2003, but it took two more years for Bombstrike to arrive. Furthermore, Blackout's filecard gives their sister's codename as Bombshell. I'm guessing something held up the release of the figure and prompted a change of name, and perhaps something else as well.
Now let's take a look at the comics. Barrel Roll and Blackout were put into action in 2004. Next year a Bombstrike figure is out, but DDP relaunches the G.I. Joe comic with a focus on fewer characters. Unfortunately Barrel Roll doesn't make the cut.
Maybe DDP wanted to use Bombstrike/-shell to expand on the Stall family, but they couldn't because the character was going through design revisions at Hasbro. Who knows?

I know very little about these two characters, I have seen them and know what countries they are from, and thats about it. Being essentially the same character I made some slight changes to further differentiate them from each other.
Thank jamarmiller for the suggestion.

Nice work! How a Barrell Roll vs. Blackout pic? Keeping with the whole Stall family theme from a few posts back!
