If its a joke, it'll backfire on Hasbro badly, Sean. Sure by removing Retalition from screening this year, they may have evaded a direct confrontation with The Avengers (Now grossing $1.3 Billion Dollars!), but they may run straight into Iron Man 3, Capt. America 2, Thor 2, Hulk 3, Star Trek XII AND Superman!
The Joes evaded the Borg cube only to run straight into a phalanx of SDF class warships.
Good thing I never liked ROC. And I've no plans to ever get it on DVD.

Thanks , Sgt. Major Haley! The world's so called elite soldiers afraid of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Its weird that they consider 21 Jump Street a hit since it made the original show a comedy as a film.
As for the 3D enhancement. Don't forget, 3D is just special effects; it'll be the story and the script that will decide the fate of Retaliation at the box office.

I don't my hopes up since ROC lacked what the script and story of The Avengers and Men In Black 3 had in spades- heart.

Anything that might involve major characters' deaths should be avoided. Interestingly, my girls' favorite part of ROC was the relationship between Duke and the Baroness! (What Marvel Joe fan could ever have guessed?!?) Anyhow, they're looking for some future resolution to this. Now, because of their interest in this subject, that makes me want one too... Weird, huh?Heh!

 :D

Thanks again, Sgt. Major Haley! :)
It seems Hasbro is beginning to believe its own press that Duke-who even Larry Hama hated- is crucial to GI Joe.
They cited Battleship and John Carter as their excuse for deferring GI Joe, forgetting that both aforementioned films were topbilled by the same actor, and it sure wasn't Tatum Channing. (Considering that John Carter lost $200 Million out of a $350 Million dollar budget, Walt Disney must be thankful that The Avengers made a hefty take at the box office.
About Battleship. I found it odd that for the title, most of the action takes place aboard a guided missile destroyer.
As for the first link, I think Hasbro is sour graping about Paramount, ignoring that their Transformers franchise was released via Paramount and each of the TF films made nearly triple what ROC did for its lackluster release. Talk about good money down the drain!
Hasbro just doesn't get it that their vaunted GI Joe wannabe franchise will need a solid script that is character driven if they want to have a ghost of a chance at the box office.
And, yeah, Sean. Its weird when once considers that apart from the Duke /Baroness nonsense, along with making her CC's sister (Gah!), ROC ripped off a plot line from Goldeneye and thought nobody would notice. Heck, Retaliation's Cobra satellite isn't original. See Diamonds Are Forever, Goldeneye And Die Another Day.

Nice shot of Cobra Commander, Brandon! He's more credible in this outfit compared to ROC. Who's playing him, I wonder?
Hope you can post pix of Lady J and Joe Colton very soon. Thanks.

R6, the guy in the CC costume is rumored to be the guy that played the leader of the 10 Rings in Iron Man, Faran Tahir. But there is also some guy Ladson Deyne listed as CC on IMDb.

And it is rumored that Chuck Adler will voice him.

Thanks! Mr. Tahir was also Capt. Richard Robau (Pierre in the novel) of the USS Kelvin in Star Trek XI.
Charles Adler voiced Low Light in the 1980s cartoon. It should be cool. Wish they gave him a Cobra insignia on his field tunic, though.

Can't wait to see the live action version of Lady J.

He's done the voice for CC before, too: in both RESOLUTE and RENEGADES. He kinda evokes the Chris Latta CC, but gives it his own spin which is nice.

If you listen close enough, you can hear Buster Bunny (whom he voiced in TINY TOONS many a year ago now) , so if you know that voice it's an extra little reference to giggle at.
