This might not be in the right forum, but I can't really find any info on it anywhere else. Does anyone know when the "Spooks" series from Devils Due (written by Larry Hama) is going to start?
The only info I have been able to find on it is the news release for Comic Con. The new series sounded really interesting and I am wondering when I can look forward to it.

When I asked the DDP crew at WWC, they just said sometime in 2008.

Kind of reminds me of what we would've seen in The Monster Squad if the Army had showed up a bit earlier in the flick. Can't wait to see this.

Wait, is this written by Larry Hama or RA Salvatore?
Or did Salvatore just come up with the idea?
This is the first I have heard of it.....have to admit Larry Hama's involvement is the only thing that would make this interesting to me.

Here is the original press release...

Not really clear on who is actually writing or what part each person is playing, but that's what we know so far (Previews or the Devil's Due solicitations will be out soon with a little more clarification and art).

Tanks!
Sadly, this has already been done about 3 or 4 times. I stand by my initial statement- I'm only in it for Hama's writing.

Have you read the interviews with him? Thats really all it ever was.
He'd rather draw or play guitar.
Its just that hes so good at writing he gets work. Tho' he does say he enjoys the work while he is doing it and likes finishing the product, writing is not the top of his list of things to do.
Anyhoo, his wit is what could take the stale concept and give it some life. I mean you read that press release and I get the image of these movie/video games guys giving the 'awesome' pitch and DDP guys looking at each other thinking "WTF? Thats you big idea?"
But they say 'Wow, you guys blew me away! Lets do it!' just to get their foot in the right doors in Hollywood....
Anyway...I'm in.
Cause you see, now I actually do wanna know what happens when you hit a vampire with a high-velocity discarding-sabot anti-tank round that has an ash-wood stake core-penetrator.
*checks the combat smileys*
WHAT?
There's no rocket launcher smiley?
Come ON you guys are killing me!
Quick somebody make me a rocket launcher smiley!
Please?
PLEEEEEEEEZE?
