Cannot tell you guys how much I like Comixology!! I used to have to wait weeks in order to plan a trip to my NSLCS. Now I can almost wake up and read the newest COBRA or ARAH title the day it comes out! Total awesomeness.

Seeing another artist credited gave me hopes that the interior art would be somewhat better. NOPE. It was the same painful to look at and hard to follow mess it usually is. Throughout the entire issue I kept thinking just how amazing this issue would have looked had Robert or Shannon (or about 1000 other artists out there) drawn it. If it wasn't for Costa's superb writing, this wouldn't feel like a Joe comic at all. I don't expect Flint to wear his classic uniform out on an op, but I do expect Flint to actually LOOK LIKE FLINT. The art just takes away from my enjoyment of what otherwise is the best Joe title we have gotten in 20 years.

Aside from my frustration over the artwork, this issue was a terrific read. The character interactions were thoroughly enjoyable. Erika's whining over having to fly commercial, and coach no less, had me chuckling. I used to fly A LOT before I changed departments and those panels with the fussy kid sure brought back memories.

Erika: "This was one of the most disgusting experiences of my life. And I assure you...that's saying something."
Firewall: "You want some cheese with that whine, Princess?"

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I rolled my eyes when Firewall was first introduced, but Costa has really done a solid job with her to the point where I cannot see her not being included in situations like this.

Really liking what we are getting from William Kessler-Latta so far. The last name caught my eye, but I didn't realize what it meant until he told us his father was Christoper Latta III who died almost 10 years ago. Now I wasn't a fan of the cartoon at all, but even I know he was the voice of CC. Great tribute, Mr. Costa.

Billy: "There was a fire."
Ronin: "Yeah. I started that. Sorry. We needed a way to get you out of the building immediately, without anyone noticing. Nobody was hurt. Probably."
Lady Jaye: ""Probably"?"
Ronin: "Hey, it was a small fire."

This was the highlight of the issue. Too funny. I've enjoyed the banter between Jaye and Ronin the past few issues and Billy's comment about two women in a boarded-up bar was great. It's these little moments that put writers like Costa and Jerwa and Mr. Hama above the rest.

Lastly, I must say I'm liking the strong Joe females in this story. Lady Jaye is my favorite female character in the ARAHverse, so it took a little bit to get used to her IDWverse counterpart, but Costa has worked his magic yet again. Can't wait for the next issue to see where this all goes!
