Gah, I hope they fix that Aashikage symbol on the cover! That's the second time they get it wrong And to think Larry chose it because it would be easy to remember!

Ok, having been a classic artist cover guy since ARAH came back, I am really loving these SL Gallant covers more than those now.

That Darklon cover is absolutely knockout.
There's nothing I love more than when the Joes, for all their eccentric gear, are lined up and the uniformity of camouflage unites them into a cohesive team look. Sure makes Darklon's garish attire stick out more. The preview is great too.
Bring on the Blue Ninja Clan.

SPOILERS Kind of wish I wasn't right on this one. Well it should at least make for some interesting conversation the rest of this week. Personally I find his death to be very anticlimactic for the character, especially in comparison to the way he went in out in ddp's ending. Otherwise the rest of the issue was pretty good.

no chance of a resurrection or was it definite ? Normally I'd say no, but with Sneak Peak and Darklon back, there's always a chance of a resurrection.

Billy survived an amazing long time for a non-figure character. His death is supposed to be a very memorable one. And I am sure we end up seeing the Arashikage Mindset used to stop Snake Eyes and maybe Storm Shadow.
I morn his loss and I am sure it is probably final.
But the way it is drawn is that it looks like he just gets his robot leg cut off not anything else. Which if that was all that happened would have been a great story element. Maybe he died of shock.
Anyway, as Jamar points out this is the major break from the DDP story, no going back, no ifs, no possible it might fit kind of attempts. It is officially and forever an alternate universe.
I hope Snake Eyes gets his revenge.

....I'd completely forgotten that Billy was so....robotic. Wow.
Liked his DDP death better (MUCH better), but there it is. We move forward. Next. :p
