What in the world????? This is a surprise move! Let's just hope that Snake Eyes does not run into the GI Joe booth! haha Oh, I am sooo confused! This reminds me of an issue of GI Joe(Marvel) where the Joes are at a newstand and what is there??? A GIJoe comic and a Special Missions comic. Deep stuff, I tell you...

Stalker is the Joe, but you probably already knew that.
The others are just geeks in the Comic-Con crowd. I see a spectacled Princess Leah, a Batman, and other sci-fi-ish characters.
I don't know who/what that robot-looking thing is supposed to be.

Is that Stalker? Coloring seems a bit off, and the outfit seems very plain. I kinda thought it might be Dial-Tone.....
There's a Spockish guy right behind them, and I think the robot might be some sorta Cylon/samurai hybrid....

This comic sounds like it will be either hit or miss with the fans, I am sure Hama is writing it as humorous but many of us will probably take it to serious. Lots of opportunity for great cameos including the artists & writers as well as other "famous" characters.
But I do agree they should stay away from the dates. Think they will have a Special convention cover of this issue? They should.
interesting that they are putting some Marvel character look alikes on the cover. I guess it is a form of Crossover. But it seems like a Transformers appearance somewhere in the pages will happen.

After the snafu of Snake-Eyes' face being miraculously, unexplainably disfigured again in issue #177, I don't know that I care at this point. They could set the series in 1812 and I wouldn't even blink.

I know it was fixed circa #92 or so (The Snake Eyes Trilogy - thank goodness, for the sake of this post, that was an easy arc title), but then redamaged in that same story. He was scarred quite a bit when Phil Gosier was on the book, but I haven't seen (or can recall) anything since #155.5 when it was fixed again.

The last time we saw Snake-Eyes unmasked was in Marvel #150, and he only had a few scars (long after his encounter with the Paine Bros. in #95). Now (in #177), the Baroness is thanking him for covering up his ruined face, and mentions to the guard how he was disfigured back in a helicopter accident. That was his original injury; and the irony is that she was there was when his face was reconfigured by Dr. Hundtkinder in #94!!!

its unfortunate that IDW couldnt have had an editor that actually knows the Joe comic lore.
I seriously dont know how anyone can consider this the same continuity anymore
too bad

I have no problem with this being the continuation of the Marvel run AND I have not problem with the Image/DDP run being the continuation of the Marvel run. Both runs are fun and work as far as continuity is concerned. I mean, if a comic isn't fun, then it isn't worth purchasing. Like the IDW-verse. Once it stopped being fun (except Cobra of course which is an amazing creature in and of itself) I dropped the titles. But I understand where you are coming from, Jamar, but I can overlook the small blips that distort and arguably contradict the Marvel run.
