Summary --- SPOILERS
It begins 1641 as James McCullen is brought up on charges of conspiracy as he is selling arms to both the King and the King's enemies. His punishment is not death, but wearing an iron mask for the rest of his days.
Skip to present day as McCullen's descendant presents a demonstration of his nano-technology to a room for of generals. The nano-mites are shown to eat metal and destroy a tank while not harming the soldiers inside. McCullen then reveals the first shipment of his new technology will leave from his factory the next day under the watch of an elite NATO unit. After the meeting there is a conversation between Hawk and McCullen in which Hawk offers the support of his team. McCullen declines.
The story moves to Kyrgystan where the elite unit led by Duke receives the MARS case of warheads and heads out on it's delivery. the convoy doesn't notice an unmarked gunship sneaking up behind it. The gunship takes out the air support and vehicles on the ground. Duke and Ripcord's vehicle is turned over after a pulse blast. The gunship then lands and deploys a squad of Vipers along with the Baroness to take out the remaining soldiers on the ground and recover the case of warheads.
Duke pulls an injured Ripcord out of their vehicles just before it explodes and then makes a move to stop the Baroness from taking the case. He comes face to face with a Viper and the Baroness and is shocked when he recognizes who the black haired woman really is. She kicks him to the ground and Viper is about to shoot him when another air craft enters the area. The Vipers on the ground are taken out by an arrow and a knife through the chest and for the first time we see the ninja Snake Eyes!
While the Joes provide a needed distraction in taking out the Vipers, Duke is able to recover the case from the Baroness just as she escapes in the gunship. We're left with Duke guarding the case as he first comes face to face with Scarlett, Heavy Duty, and Snake Eyes...
