As some of you know, I am deal with Hasbro when it comes to GI Joe related promotions and information. Well, every now and then they will send me little things to help get the word out. The other day I was surprised to find on my doorstep a very large box with Star Wars logos on it. I drug it inside the house and opened it up, what did I see in front of me? The brand new, Star Wars AT-AT.

It is being re-released in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Empire Strikes Back, and let me tell you this thing is impressive. It has more sounds, lights and things that open up then I ever imagined. While I would have loved to have kept it, I just didn't have the space in my house and of course I have two daughters who are more into Littlest Pet Shop and Barbie then they are Star Wars.

So, what to do? Give it away of course.

One of the officers I work with has two boys and they are huge into Star Wars, so Christmas came early.

Happy to introduce a new generation to the joys of the Battle of Hoth.

Very cool new toy. Just to be clear this isn't a re-release. It's all new and I'm dying to get one of these. Very nice of you to offer it up to a couple kids, Phil. I'm sure they'll get tons of fun out of it.

I'm probably going to hold out and hope the vintage boxed version comes to Canada. It is supposedly going to.

I have been limiting all my toy purchases lately. Just can't afford them anymore and no place to store them. I am also hesitant because of poor storage choices by my family when I was growing up with my toys caused a lot of my older stuff to get ruined. I still have nightmares about the rat nest my Terror Drome became. Anyway...I will be grabbing this as soon as I can find it at retail. Please somebody tell me this is NOT a Toy's R' Us exclusive. I still have yet to get my hands on a Jacen and Jaina Solo. My Toy's R' Us never got the wave in stock. I grabbed the Falcon at Walmart for $70 and I was taking a HUGE risk on waiting for it to hit half price. I don't think I will wait on this.

Not a TRU exclusive. In fact people have been finding it at some walmarts for a couple weeks now. The street date was yesterday on these, so it hasn't been showing up everywhere yet, but they should be showing up all over the place now.
The only thing that is exclusive is the vintage style packaging. It will be showing up at TRU in the fall. But if you care nothing of packaging, then you could find it anywhere now.

Oh, no. I care nothing on the packaging. If I planned on keeping it MIB? Yeah, vintage packaging from Toy's R' Us all the way. I plan on ripping into this puppy just like I did with the Falcon. :D
