I know this is a comic-focused board, but I'm kind of surprised that there's little or no reaction to the Renegades cartoon here. I've been watching it and am enjoying the show. I think it's improving as it goes. A week or two ago we got a two-parter introducing Storm Shadow, Jinx and the Arashikage. Their past is a variation of what we know (Snake-Eyes is the perceived traitor), but still has some similarities. It also seems to do what few older ninja-themed properties has done before, and address the question, "Aren't ninjas just assassins and criminals?"

This past week, we got an episode where we meet Duke's parents. His father's named Max (a name borrowed from DDP) and is voiced by the original Duke, Michael Bell. His mother is named Connie, and is a red head voiced by the original Scarlett, B.J. Ward. And besides that bit of fun, it was still a good episode.

So, again... anybody watching? :)

It seems like me and you are the only ones actually watching it. Im enjoying the 2 parters we got the past 3 weeks.

Not only the Mike Bell and BJ Ward cameos, but Keone Young (Storm Shadow) voiced the Hard Master, and when RB, TR SE dressed as Santa and his elves, the "suit" that answered the door sounded alot like Bill Ratner (Flint.) A lot of knods to the original series, and I like how they snuck in Dukes younger brother Vince!

Im liking it. Alot more then what I though I would.

I've been enjoying the series quite a bit too. Writing wise, it's probably the best Joe cartoon that's been done. I like that they're doing things differently with this storyline. The original Marvel series was great, but I already read those stories, so I want to see something different. They've been doing a great job of developing the characters too. The last 2 parter did a lot for Duke and Flint and had cameos by Falcon, Tripwire, and Stalker.

I noticed that Jinx's name in the previous 2-parter was Kim Arashikage, which I think was revealed in Snake Eyes Declassified, which I thought was cool.

yeah one of the DDP series revealed her name as Kimi. I hadnt made the connection that the guy that stepped on the mine being Tripwire til you just now said something Snake. Really would like Stalker being around more then just a 10 second cameo though. Pretty cool though having him and Duke both running the OP. Just who Lady Jayes pilot was though is as good a guess though. Maybe it was Lift-Ticket?

I only called him Vince, because hes still kinda young in this episode. I wonder how they are gonna work him in, maybe hell use the name "Falcone" due to the fact that "Houser" is blackballed and he doesnt want anything to do with big brother

I've been watching and so far it's not bad. Not sure if it will hold my interest.

The animation is crap. At least in style. Hard to judge quality watching them on youtube. And the character designs still flat out suck. Sorry, but the baggy pants, hard angled lines and disproportioned bodies look terrible. But the story hasn't been too bad.

I was disappointed that they followed the movie route with SS by not giving him and SE any friendship or bond. They were enemies from the beginning and SS is just a plain boring one dimensional dirt bag out for revenge. Their storyline really loses that extra emotional tie that makes it so good.

But otherwise no bad. As long as it holds my interest I'll keep watching.

What I've seen I've enjoyed. It's not exactly as I would have imagined it, but as far as recent cartoons go, it seemed to have a leg up on a lot of the other ones out there.

Pretty good episode. Destro finally shows up. Scrap-Iron works for him and M.A.R.S. More cameos by Steeler and Doc (who now has a spanich accent and at first thought might be Zap.) It looked like layin in the hospital coulda been Grand Slam and Clutch. There was also a black guy with a moustash that was a bit older looking, that I was thinking might be Stalker again or maybe Alpine, and at first made me think thats why Duke wanted to help. Of the Vets, the only one that actually get named is Steeler. First in the Mech Suit he gives hit real name right before fighting T-Rat, then at the end when he tells the Joes the use to be called "Steeler". Ill be watching the replay at 11:30, and cant wait for next week when we get Zartan and the Noks!

I watched two episodes Friday night (Rage and The Package?). They were REALLY good. I liked the story and the art was really good I thought. Not as anime as I had anticipated (which is good). I actually like it better than Transformers Prime.

That one good thing (and bad in a way) with the Hub, the use that hour block to play a previous episode before the new one. If you miss last weeks you can catch it and the new one atleast 3 more times.
