I saw posted elsewhere that Larry's sketch cover for this issue has Heavy Metal on the cover. Flasback issue or another dead guy back from the dead? Can't wait to see the comments on this issue if he appears inside the issue in the current day and not in a flashback.

If Heavy Metal actually does show up, and it is not a flashback scene, I'm done with ARAH. It has been on the edge for a while, but since I dropped the incetive covers and just went to one cover across the board, I kept reading. But enough is enough.

Because you just know somebody will jump to defend Larry on it if it is another resurrection.

Is Hama just flat out ignoring anything written in the Joe book before.

And is Carlos Guzman asleep at the wheel of the book.

Come ON NOW.

I am sick of it mistakes in this book.

I think it's just that. His writing and a less then on the ball editor. I have GREAT respect for Larry's past Joe work up to Origins for IDW. Love his editing on The Nam and writing on Nth Man, Wolverine, ect. It's just here with his attitude on this book and the way he is writing this book that makes me loose respect for him. Just like Max Brooks comments on Firefly for Hearts and Mind about his race change. You wanted to do it? Ok. But the attitude had when asked about it takes you down a few notices in my eyes. And how many people will still keep with this book with us hardcore fans dropping off? I know 2 people at least.

Another thing is that the last few books have been really great and its seems like we are going to be diving into some new great territory in the Arashikage story. And that is EXCITING.

But the mistakes. UGH!!!

As one who never read Hama's STORM SHADOW series over at DDP, I'm intrigued that he's (apparently?) mixing it into the classic series here......and for the first time, kinda wanting to read that older series. (I hear Crystal Ball appeared there too? Hee!)

Well, we're not sure of anything yet. It is just a sketch at present, and it might be a flashback story, after all. Let's wait and see what happens...

It was posted at IDW from a board member that he would be replaced by Wildcard and the cover that got out was a mistake. Now I don't know where he is getting his info but, I think somebody saw the thread over there about it and they are fixing it before publication this time. That's what I would hope for anyway if I was buying and for the ones of you that still are? I hope they do fix it. Either that or they need a better editor.

Don't know if it's common knowledge yet, but I won't be drawing issue 173. We've managed to con, er I mean recruit, the great Ron Wagner into pencilling the issue. I'll be back with issue 174, but I wanted everyone to know that there's even more reason to check out 173!

Always good to hear you're still on the book - my enjoyment of it leapt when you came onboard after the 1st arc. And always nice to see Ron Wagner returning to GI Joe too.
