If this is the Diamond release of this years convention comic then the solicate was under Fun Publications in Previews. New cover and dossiers replacing the convention related stuff. I saw it what 3 months back?

Traditionally, they have released the public version in Nov/Dec that has numerous changes to everything but the actually story.
So my guess is since no one was really talking about it most every one missed the previews pages/orders.

Well that's crap. This issue didn't even have a new cover. All I got out of this was the 4 dossier pages. I have the convention copy aleady. Guess this can be my "reading" copy.

No. Just the 4 dossiers. Sparta, Captain Claymore, Steel Cobra, and Wet Suit. Other then that you have the same 22 page comic and ads for Big Bad Toy Store and 80stees.com. Plus an ad for next years Joecon. That's all she wrote.

Actually, apparently there are two covers: I got the retail, which had the Joes on the cover. One thing important to point out is that it does refer back to Special Missions: Brazil by DDP. However, I don't think Steel Cobra was in there, yet they refer to him being there. This story is obviously set before Mainframe's death, but after Claymore's retirement, whenever that was. This is a bit contradictory, because Claymore fought in WWIII. Unless he came out of retirement at the time... And one other thing I didn't understand: why does Wet-Suit call Leatherneck Ji-Rene Not his name...

Kind of like "Leatherneck." These comics have obviously patterned Wet Suit and Leatherneck's relationship on the Sunbow 'toon. Which is something I really don't mind. DDP did the same thing in Special Missions: Brazil. The only real cartoon-influenced thing I didn't like was turning Beach Head into the irritable hothead he is in the cartoon, which itself was the complete opposite of Hama's original filecard, that said he doesn't get mad. Though I admit I did like him in the cartoon despite that. JMM

I actually steered clear of the G vs. C books as I didn't know what direction it would go, but it sounds like these books might be worth a read.

I'm not super fond of them.
They are based on the Marvel+DDP continuity, which is cool, but the stories are not the best.
