The Hiss 4 is the one I've never liked. It does look like it could be a ceremonial vehicle though, or a Cobra Command VIP carrier. I DOES look armored pretty heavily. So, there just aren't many, right, only a few and only used if necessary. With the return to Broca Beach after the destruction of the Headman's operations, the Commander saw no need for the ceremonial 4's during his "convalescence" to recover after the busy and confusing chain of events in the mountain castle. So some Clipboard-Viper foolishly let them be dispatched to a foreign battlefield for front line action and lost two of them. Do you know how much those things cost to get the additional scaled armor pieces welded on individually like that? That's the reason the CG's just escorted him out of the commissary.
Work for you, Sean? Uh... yes?

Still digging it. Not much more to add beyond the praise, but I'll say that I like how subdued the funeral was, and I'm still kind of shocked and curious that Larry seems to be playing it straight. I'm still entirely curious about his long-term game plan for Cobra and upping their credibility. It's nice to see Cobra Commander still acting kind of ... like he has his stuff together more than we realize. He feels like he's got a plan, even if it's nowhere near apparent to us.
Dialing back the Blue Ninja search from Snakes & Stormy was a good call - a nice breather, stringing the "main storyline" into it in doses as a sort of "Mythology B-Story" while telling a straight-up two-part Joe Story. It felt like the floor of my room with a couple MOBATS, boxes for buildings, some "tank" themed Joes, and a fat ton of HISS tanks. It also still managed to be entirely relevant to current Arab Spring style politics. And it was nice that similarly, he peppered in Destro & Baroness to remind them they exist and foreshadow their being dragged back into the fight, which is always bound to happen.
But I'm so curious about A. WHERE HAWK HAS BEEN SINCE THE FIRST ARC and B. DARKLON!

A few interesting tidbits:
1)There is a Hackensack, NJ
2)There was a "Revanche" character in X-Men with a blade similar to the blue ninja's weapons(look up "Revanche" in Wikipedia)
3)I figured this out without help(guessing because of Cross Country's words) but "Spasibo" does mean "Thank you"(I confirmed it online)
4)I looked up "Rokuji" and it means "Six o'clock" not "back(or rear) position"(I thought is might be "rear position" instead of "six o'clock" but I was wrong in my assuption)
This was a great issue! The new Oktober Guard(well, two new ones, Daina has always been on that team) but I don't like the names of the new two(I am probaly pronouncing them both wrong)

Revanche is French for 'revenge'. Interesting name for a robotics laboratory. Their symbol looks like a stylized Cobra made from two 'Rs'. The Arashikage symbol is behind the "serpent" / 'R' symbol (if that is what it is). Tank battle was interesting, but I'm not sure how realistic it was against such overwhelming odds. Is driving through buildings the S.O.P. of evasion? I'd love to talk to someone who served with an armored column and see if this is what it was like. Note to self: I'm getting sick of ninjas who are not Asian. Esoteric groups aren't known to just open their doors to any foreigners that are out there, especially when it comes to the Japanese of the past. (I always hated the Ninja Force file-cards because of this. Not one Asian in the whole group!) Would have liked more focus on Billy's funeral, and...For the love of God, will someone tell Hama to look up the definition of prodigal? It has never meant "someone who leaves home". Every time he uses this word he gets it wrong (which included both the Baroness and Cobra Commander in this issue)!

Anyway, I didn't think you could write two cool issues in a row just with tanks. This was great action, punctuated by cool moments that were intriguing glimpses of things to come: Baroness, the funeral, SE/SS. I thought CC's silence was appropriate. Amazing how Baroness tried to keep a straight face.
